Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities – Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
Section 1: Introduction and Background Information
Baylis Medical is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We are committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA); provided it does not cause Baylis Medical undue hardship.
The Integrated Accessibility Regulation (IASR) under the AODA was enacted in June 2011. Section 4(1) of the IASR requires employers with 50 or more employees to develop, maintain and make publicly available a multiyear accessibility plan.

For those with access to a computer and the Learning Management System, initial training is taken online and due within 120 days after the person’s start date. For those without access to computers or the Learning Management System, initial training is done in person and is completed within 120 days after the person’s start date. When policies, practices or procedures on the provision of goods or services to people with disabilities change, updated training will be provided. Training records are kept in the Learning Management System, including the date of completion. The training policy is indicated in “AODA Policy_v3”, it summarizes the content of the training and specifies when training is provided and to whom it is provided. |
