Get to know Christine Kirby, a Baylis Sales Consultant working out of Dallas, Texas!
Question: When did you join Baylis?
Answer: I joined about three years ago. My first day way June 1, 2015. I started as a Sales Associate, and was recently promoted to a Sales Consultant, working out in Texas.
Q: Where did you work and what was your role prior to joining Baylis?
A: This was my first job — I was hired right out of college. Baylis is special in that it gives opportunities to sales people without much experience, and trains them really well from there. Not many companies give opportunities to people just starting out. I really lucked out with Baylis and am so appreciative of the fact that they allowed me to have my dream job.
Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I went to Texas State University, and studied biology.
Q: What is your day-to-day role at Baylis?
A: It varies. I could be researching electrophysiologists I haven’t yet met, or doing a product demo for a physician. One thing I do often is attend procedures with current Baylis customers to ensure that they are doing well and to inform them of any new equipment we have on the market.
Some days I am supporting a physician during one of their first few procedures using our products. A lot of effort also goes into working with hospitals and lab managers to have our products used in a hospital when a physician is interested.
I really enjoy the strategic aspect of my job. This job is very autonomous in that I am the only sales rep in this territory, so it allows me to be very strategic and thoughtful in the way I dedicate my time. I always make sure that I am allotting my time in a way that will benefit Baylis the most.
Q: What is it about Baylis and its mandate that motivates you to come to work every day?
A: The best part of working here for me is the fact that I genuinely believe in our products. Our innovations truly are industry-leading. We really are providing value to physicians and health care systems through our products. It makes my job easier to do.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: I like being outdoors. Anything from hiking to fishing to camping.

What’s the last show you binge-watched? I’ve just been watching a bunch of movies lately. I just watched The Terminator for the first time and it was amazing.
What is/would be your go-to karaoke song? The first thing that came to my mind was Roar by Katy Perry.
If you could go back in time to witness one event in the past, what would it be? I would want to witness dinosaurs in general.
What do you like on your pizza? I like a supreme pizza, with everything on it.
