Vafa is Senior Vice President and President, Respiratory, Gastrointestinal & Informatics, Medtronic in addition to his role on Baylis’ Board of Advisors.
With over 20 years of experience in the medical device field, Vafa has acquired extensive knowledge in the areas of gastroenterology, minimally invasive surgery, respiratory, pharmacy automation, infusion systems, and medical device distribution.
At Medtronic, he oversees three core business units: Interventional Lung Solutions (ILS), Gastrointestinal Solutions (GIS), and Advanced Ablation Solutions (AAS).
Vafa received his Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.
