Cardiovascular Innovations (CVI) 2019 is a world-class meeting focused on state-of-the-art therapy for peripheral, coronary, and structural heart disease. More than 180 faculty are confirmed and will present during the 4-day meeting. The conference is designed to meet the needs of cardiologists, surgeons, physicians, trainees, investigators, and allied health care staff, who participate in the care of these patients. The focus of the conference is on innovative health care solutions to optimize the delivery of care for these patients.

The goal of the 2019 CICT Conference is to promote high quality, patient-centered, clinical and technical decision-making in the field of Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine. The uniqueness of the CICT conference lies in the open forum transparent discussion of controversial topics allowing free-flowing interaction between audience and faculty. The content of this meeting will address a wide range of complex cardiovascular interventional topics that still present a challenge to the clinician with respect to choosing the appropriate therapy (surgery vs. catheter-based therapy) and with respect to using optimal technique to ensure the safety and efficacy of the procedure.

The 2019 Appalachian Structural Heart Symposium (ASHS|19) conference will provide a comprehensive review of current topics, treatments, and strategies for Structural Heart Disease including: transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), cardiogenic shock, imaging techniques, medications, case presentations, and poster sessions. This interdisciplinary conference is designed for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, radiologic technicians and technologists, and all interested allied health professionals. On Saturday afternoon there will be concurrent breakout sessions; one for physicians and a simultaneous program for nurses and radiologic technologists and technicians.

This one-day symposium provides a comprehensive update on the long-term issues faced by adult Fontan survivors. The course focuses on patients with “failing” Fontan physiology and the available tools and therapies for the treatment of this challenging subset of patients, including updates on medical therapies, catheter-based and surgical techniques for palliation and support. The ultimate therapeutic options of orthotopic heart and multi-organ transplantation are covered in detail as the need grows in this aging Fontan population.
