History

Gloria Baylis, a registered nurse, founded Baylis Medical Company in 1986 in Montreal, Canada. The company began as a Canadian importer and distributor of medical products for neurology. At the time, Baylis Medical was the first company to introduce neuro-embolisation products into the North American market. Moving on from there, Baylis Medical was the first company to introduce temperature monitored cardiac ablation to the North American market.

From this beginning, the company has grown into a leading developer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-technology medical products used in cardiology, pain management, and radiology.
