An Intermediate to Advanced Course for Pain Management Physicians

This course is intended for pain management physicians who have performed radiofrequency lesioning of medial branch nerves, and desire to gain knowledge and skills in performing other, more complex neurotomies.
Activity:
Upon completion of this course, the physician should be able to:
Assess appropriateness of radiofrequency lesioning for your patient population, clinical outcomes to date.
Discuss the principles of RF lesioning and important aspects of imaging, needle placement and electrocoagulation.
Develop strategies to prevent and manage intra- and post-procedure complications.
Perform RF lesioning techniques on models with guidance of faculty.
